This site is dedicated to the memory of Michael Fisher.

Michael, known to most as Mick, was a loving Dad to Louise and Charlotte, a fun and chatty father-in-law to Dave and Jay and a kind and caring Grandad to Jake, Abbie, Morgan , Mason and Jensen. Dad grow up in Maxstoke(he was named after the church there St Michael and All Angels), he had a very loving and close family around him.Alice and Joel were his parents, he thought the world of them.He was a brother and brother in-law to John, Janet ,Eileen and Vincent and an uncle to Ken, Colin, Maria, Clare and Malcolm. Dad was married to our mum(Sheila) for around 25 years and remarried around 1997 .Dad made many friends over his life time and they all have funny and witty stories to share with us all. Dad started his career off as a DJ in his late teens but we only really remember him as an insurance man working for Pearl.Dad, a little later on, became an experienced coach and lorry driver. He ran his own taxi service at one point. Dad's last job was working as a driving assessor, which he enjoyed and he and Jay would spend many hours talking about the lorry world!! He loved hearing about his grandchildren and would call myself and my sister(Charlotte) most weeks for an update.Dad also loved his garden and would spend many hours making it perfect. Two of his favourite flowers were chrissathamas and roses.Dad was also known for having a tipple of whiskey from time to time!

Wonderful times and wonderful memories.

Dad sadly died after nine long weeks of battling against this horrible illness. Dad went to hospital after suffering from a continuous and very painful headache. Tests were ran over a few days and then the true reality of what Dad was suffering from came to light.A couple of days later Dad took a turn for the worst and was put into a medical coma. He became very ill and was sent to Nottingham hospital for an emergency operation on his brain. We thought at one point he was going to make it as he started to respond to myself and my sister. One evening when we visited him, he opened his eyes and tried so hard to speak to us, he even waved as we left. We had hope. But sadly this hope faded away quickly and we soon realised that he was not going to pull through.

Dad sadly died on 11th December 2013.

We would like to thank all the staff at Nottingham hospital for their help and support in helping us and Dad during this heart breaking time.

Goodnight and God bless Dad/Grandad x
